As a result of the United Nations promoting the Sustainable Development Goals, Gestamp has adopted these objectives, in particular, it has aligned 6 of the 17 objectives with its activity and the social actions that it carries out in the different communities where it is present.


Goal 3: Good health and well-being

At Gestamp, people are our most precious resource and health and safety always come first.

At Gestamp we are aware of the risks of our business and the importance of the safety and health of our employees in the correct development of our activity.

That is why we have an ambitious policy of prevention of occupational risks that ensures that our employees, as well as those of other companies working in our facilities, have a safe and healthy work environment.

At Gestamp we are optimizing our resources and we are producing safer and lighter products.

At Gestamp we seek sustainability of the parts that we manufacture as well as the way in which we produce them. We bear in mind the lifecycles of our products and their impact on the vehicle.

We focus on:

  • Optimizing the consumption of raw materials and natural resources.
  • Optimizing production and logistics processes.
  • Energy efficiency.
  • Management and recyclability of wastes generated in production.

Goal 13: Climate actions

We control the energy of our plants and minimize the weight of the parts we produce, and thus reduce CO2 emissions.

Our contribution to climate change is twofold:

  • As a sustainable industry, the work we do to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in our production processes via proper environmental management.
  • As a supplier of components for the automobile industry, our added value lies in our technological and R&D capacity to develop new products and innovative solutions that make it possible to produce lighter parts which help our clients reduce their CO2 emissions.
