Gestamp, the multinational specialized in the design, development and manufacture of highly engineered metal components for the automotive industry, announced today the creation of the Gestamp Foundation. This private non-profit organization will develop social projects and initiatives to contribute toward improving the progress of the people and local communities in which the company operates. The creation of the Foundation is a milestone in the history of Gestamp, whose activity has always been strongly linked and committed to social and economic progress.
Gestamp Foundation´s reason for being is the desire to boost the personal and professional advancement of people through the creation of opportunities and sustainable development. The Foundation's projects seek to improve the quality of life of people and the environment and will focus on three areas of action: education, mobility and sustainability.
In the area of education, the Gestamp Foundation's initiatives aim to generate opportunities for personal and professional growth through the means of; education and technological training, promote digitization and STEAM careers and encourage diversity within, as well as highlight the value of Vocational Training, as a way to develop employment opportunities.
On the other hand, the Foundation understands mobility as an essential means for development and social progress and, in this sense, its activities in this area are focused on contributing to prevention, road safety and efficient driving. In terms of sustainability, it will promote initiatives that care for and protect the environment, generating a positive impact.
The Foundation, based in Spain, will develop most of its projects and initiatives in the country, but without losing Gestamp's global perspective, with the aim of continuing to expand its scope of action in the future.
