Gestamp to open seventh plant in Brazil

Gestamp, a Spanish multinational specialising in the design, development and manufacture of metal components for the automotive industry, has set up a new hot stamping plant in Betim (Minas Gerais, Brazil). The company has invested 24.9 million euros in the new facility that will serve Fiat Chrysler Automobile (FCA).

Gestamp, the Spanish multinational company dedicated to the design, development and manufacture of automotive components recorded revenues of €7.549bn in 2016, a 7.3% increase over the previous year, above the average growth of the sector in the same period. Without foreign exchange impact this increase would have been 12.3%.

Gestamp, a Spanish multinational company specialized in the design, development and manufacture of parts for the automotive industry, has announced the upcoming construction of its first plant in Japan, in a ceremony held in the city of Matsusaka which was attended by the Governor of Mie Prefecture, Eikei Suzuki; the mayor of Matsusaka, Masato Takegami; the CEO of Mitsui, Tatsuo Yasunaga and the Chairman of Gestamp, Francisco J. Riberas.
