Body in White

The Body is the supporting frame of a vehicle. It is a complex assortment of large steel sections which have been stamped into specific shapes which built the body of the car.

These parts a designed to do many jobs in the same time: Protect the car passengers in collisions, offer good mounting points for the other vehicle systems and ensure an efficient and light design thanks to a minimum air resistance and optimal material use.

Body can be classified into two main categories: Exterior and Structural Parts.

Exterior Parts are the “dress of a car” as they form the external skin of a vehicle.  Often they have a large and complex design with a high aesthetical relevance which requires a perfect finish and flawless surface.

Structural Parts form the “skeleton” of a vehicle and take a crucial role for its safety.
